Ascending from the metal music haven of New Mexico’s Rio Grande valley, Violet Rising is an anthemic rock band with vibrant and thunderous live performances, contemporary anti-system, anti-oppression, and romantic pro-human messages arranged in a sultry, psychedelic, heavy rock sound. The band conjures the strength and magnitude of an awakened beast, an astounding visual aesthetic, with a handsome monochromatic back line and pops of inspiring colors from the band’s creator and front woman, Christi Sánchez.
Christi Sánchez: singer songwriter since 7 yrs old. Some time between then and now, the genius and power behind Violet Rising, she developed a talent of walking into shit storms and coming out victorious. Every time. Each victory lifted her higher into immortality. To be clear, we love you Christi and how you wrangle the gods and make them bend the knee.
